Overview
Sollega supplied the FastRack 510-6dg ballasted mounting system for the PV installation on the Kansas University Medical Hospital in Kansas City, KS. The array was installed on an 85-foot flat roof deck and engineered to withstand the high winds in the area. FastRack 510-6dg was chosen for its speed of installation and the high reliability a hospital demands. The hybrid system combines mechanical anchors and ballast block to meet a 3.7 psf roof requirement, with a 275 kW array comprising 510 × 540W modules mounted on 599 Sollega FR510-6dgs.
Sollega's engineering team designed the hybrid ballast-and-anchor layout to meet the stringent requirements of the medical facility while ensuring a safe, swift install.
