Overview
Sollega supplied its FastRack 510-6dg ballasted ground-mount racking system for a 415 kW-DC solar array that powers the City of Brinkley Water Supply in Brinkley, Arkansas. The 0.7-acre array produces clean renewable electricity that helps power the water treatment plant and deliver potable drinking water to the Brinkley community for years to come.
The low-profile injection-molded FR510-6dg was installed with 1,659 × 330W modules at a 10° tilt. Ground preparation was straightforward: grading, a weed barrier, and 1/2-inch drain rock. The FR510-6dg can be installed on asphalt, cement, road base, or any surface with less than a 7° pitch, and the one-piece design makes it exceptionally quick to ship, stage, and install.
With a ground coverage ratio of up to 80%, the FR510-6dg system requires only 1.7 acres per MW. Constructed of BASF Ultramid with UV protection, the racking will not rust, corrode, or leach metals into the groundwater — a critical property for a site tied directly to a municipal potable-water supply.
